This is a two player computer simulation of Draw Square paper game. Create a matrix of dots on the board and draw lines between any two dots either vertically or horizontally. Each player will get his/her turn simultaneously. If a player creates a square by drawing a line with three other previously drawn lines, the square is said to be captured by him/her, and the player will get a chance to draw one more line. The game will continue till all the squares are captured by the players. The player who captures more square will be declared the winner.

Description:

Sholo Guti is a very popular game of Bangladesh. Even though it is similar to Checkers, the board is more attractive, and there's a little variation in the rules. The pawns can move to any direction indicated on the board. Unlike Checkers, you can leave any possible captures if you wish.

I developed this game back in 2004 with the intention in my mind to promote our Bangladeshi cultural games to the new generation of PC gamers. This project was published in the June'04 Edition of "Computer Jagat" magazine, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The download contains Setup file to install the game and play. It also includes the VB 6.0 source code for the developers to further work on it. This is a freeware. You can reuse or redistribute it as you wish, provided that you keep the name of original developer.

হয়তো অবশেষে

হয়তো কোন আনমনা এক বেলায়
নতুন করে হারাবো এই আমি,
বাঁধন ছিঁড়ে মন রাঙ্গানো খেলায়
অস্তরাগের মেঘের অনুগামী।

হয়তো তখন ডাকবে না কেউ পিছু
থাকবে না মন ফেলে আসা দিনে,
স্মৃতির বাঁধন ভুলবো যে সব কিছু
মিটে যাওয়া ঋণের প্রতিদানে।

সব ছেড়ে যে নিঃস্ব হবো পুরো
নিঃস্ব ছিলাম প্রথম যেমন করে,
শুন্য থেকে সব ছিলো যার শুরু
বিলীন হবো শুন্যতারই পরে।

গোধূলী রঙ আঁকবে বিদায় রেখা
বুঝবো পথিক শেষ হয়েছে বেলা,
দূর সীমানায় দৃষ্টি রেখে একা
থামবে নাহয় আমার এ পথ চলা।

হয়তো তখন একটু বিষাদ রেশে
একটু থেমে বিদায় অনুভবে -
আপন মনেই হয়তো অবশেষে
ভাববো কেন এসেছিলাম তবে

এমন করেই শেষ হলো সব যদি?

কখনো অবসরে

কখনো সময় আসে
এ আমার চারপাশে
কতো ঘটনার জালে
মায়াজাল বুনে চলে
    নিয়তি যে পরিহাসে,
    ভাবি শুধু তাই বসে।

এই যে ভাবনামেলা
খেলে চলে কতো খেলা
মনের পুরোটা জুরে
আবেগের কতো সুরে
    দিনরাত সারা বেলা,
    অদ্ভুত তার খেলা।

সব ঘটনার ধারা
কখনো আত্মহারা
এ মনের কোনখানে
তুলির নতুন টানে
    এঁকে চলে খাপছাড়া,
    ছবি কোন মনকাড়া।

অনেক দিনের পরে
সে ছবি নতুন করে
দোলা দিয়ে যায় মনে
অনুরাগে আনমনে
    শুধু ক্ষণিকের তরে,
    কোন এক অবসরে।

একটু থেমে দাঁড়াও

একটু থেমে দাঁড়াও,
দু'চোখ বুঁজে মনের মাঝে
একটুখানি হারাও।

হারিয়ে যাওয়া অনেক সুরের রেখা
মনের মাঝে জমিয়ে রাখা আজও,
কতো ছবি স্মৃতির পটে আঁকা,
আনন্দ আর দুঃখ কিংবা লাজও
    মনের কোনে লুকিয়ে আছে তারাও।

একটু ভেবে দেখো,
তোমার মাঝে তুমি যে আজ
শুধুই তুমি নাকো।

কতো মনের স্বপ্ন এবং আশা
তোমার মাঝেই আজও বেঁচে আছে,
নির্ভরতার অন্ধ ভালবাসা
প্রত্যাশা তার কতোই তোমার কাছে,
    তারই তরে নাহয় বেঁচে থাকো।

এই জীবনের মানে -
এমনি করেই খুঁজে পাবে
ভালবাসার গানে।

মনের মাঝে জাগবে সুরের ঢেউ
নতুন ভোরের রাঙ্গানো উন্মেষে,
হয়তো তখন থাকবে পাশে কেউ
যেমন করে চেয়েছিলে পাশে,
    আর কিছু না শুধুই তোমার টানে।
